The responsibility of the FSO is to assist in the delivery of TLaWC statutory functions as a Registered Aboriginal Party as well as undertake and support in-house projects directed towards the management and protection of Taungurung Cultural Heritage values.

Status: Casual

Location: Alexandra, with work across Taungurung Country

Key duties:

  • Perform CHMP fieldwork and Taungurung-led projects
  • Take responsibility for completing on-site works in accordance with the agreed Cultural Heritage Management Plan (CHMP) in order to meet both sponsor expectations and TLaWC standards
  • Conduct artefact analysis, as required, in relation to Cultural Heritage Management Plans
  • Conduct compliance visits for proposed permits within an Aboriginal sensitivity zone to ensure compliance with the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006 (AHA)
  • Any other on-Country duties, as directed by the Director, RAP
