Artists Wanted – Munganin – Gadhaba ‘Achieve Together’

Calling out to all Aboriginal artists! Here is a fantastic chance to earn yourself up to $10000 by creating an artwork for Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP), in accordance with their Munganin – Gadhaba ‘Achieve Together’ strategy.

DELWP are seeking  expressions of interest from artists to create an artwork inspired by the theme  “Recognition and Respect”, representing a unique DELWP Aboriginal Identity, and reflecting DELWP’s genuine partnership with Victorian Traditional Owners.

The artwork should demonstrate either one or a combination of the following elements:
• Coming together and caring for Country
• Aboriginal people and their daily connection to Country
• Deep respect for Aboriginal culture
• Unification for all Aboriginal Victorians
• The pride you feel as an Aboriginal person
• A celebration of culture
• Collaboration with Aboriginal Victorians and other Australians
• The possum skin design; and
• The Victorian landscape, including fire, trees, water, native wildlife and Aboriginal heritage.
